The RPG genre in Trackmania.

 The meaning of RPG in Trackmania "Role-Playing Game" maps are tracks that focus on taking the player on an adventure, while offering a unique driving style with many tricks. These are generally longer maps, where exploration and discovery are at the forefront. Originally, the term RPG was born with maps having a unique theme, an immersive environment, pathfinding, stories, quests, custom textures, hence the genre name. This is still the case, but as Trackmania games have evolved, so has the genre. Nowadays, some RPG maps are more focused on pathfinding and unique tricks, while others put more emphasis on the immersive aspect and it's role-play elements. There is also the derivative genre "Mini RPG", which focuses more on competitiveness by emphasizing on consistency and tricks rather than exploration or immersion.  Want to see more?
