TMWT 2025: first recap of the season

May 19, 2025

The first stage of the Trackmania World Tour has reached its halfway point, with two official tournaments out of four played for each region. Let’s take a look at the results and positions of the favorites.

Suspense at all levels for the EMEA region

As expected, the EMEA region has been the most undecided of the three so far. Thus, after two tournaments, the winners have come and gone, and the order of finish has changed.

The European team Swift and the French team DAWN have taken the lead in the standings. However, the gap between them and their two rivals, BOCA and BIG, remains very slim. The level is extremely close, and everything could still change in the region’s upcoming homologated tournaments.

Behind them, the standings include about ten teams, also neck and neck, with a difference of a hundred or even a few dozen points. From Team Nemesis to Lioncoast and Teskad, the top nine spots for the Global Playoffs are still up for grabs.

2024 champions dominate NCSA rankings

For the NCSA region, the ranking are more established between the teams. Puffbros firmly holds the lead, which is not very surprising given its lineup, which includes Canadian world champion CarlJr and English world runner-up Pac.

They are followed by the duo Neal and Richie1308 of DG x Teskad, then the Canadian team L & N and the American team Damascus Gaming.

As a reminder, only the top four teams in the NCSA rankings will earn a spot in the Stage One Global Playoffs.

Australian duo on top of APAC region

In the APAC region, the first two tournaments have produced the same top four finish among the participating teams. Team Jetlag, including 2023 World Champion Bren and 2024 runner-up Mudda, has dominated the field so far. Only New Zealand’s Mahi team seems likely to pose any challenges.

Behind them, the two teams Restless and Russian Mafia may have to fight for third place in the ranking, which means qualification for the Stage One Global Playoffs.

More actions to come

There are still two official tournaments for each region to earn valuable points and qualify for the first Global Playoffs. The EMEA region will also see its first community tournament happen this weekend with the Comicon Baltic. A LAN opportunity for some teams to move up the ranking or to break away.
