Trackmania’s Prestige Skins system has been part of the game since 2022, giving players a rewarding way to showcase their skills.
Prestige Skins are evolutive car skins that visually improve as you progress through different parts of the game. They’re available to all players—from Starter Access to Club Access—and they’ve become a core element of Trackmania’s long-term progression.
Prestige Skins come in two categories:
- Seasonal Prestige Skins
- Ranked Prestige Skins
With the game update 2026, the Seasonal Prestige Skins system has been refined to offer a clearer and more rewarding experience. The Ranked Prestige skins system has not changed.
4 SEASONAL PRESTIGE SKINS
For each season, you’ll get a new Prestige skin.
Each Prestige Skin has a rank: Bronze, Silver, Gold, or Author.
Each rank has a level:
- 1 to 7 for the Bronze Prestige Skin,
- 1 to 9 for the Silver Prestige Skin,
- 1 to 11 for the Gold Prestige Skin,
- and 1 to 13 for the Author Prestige Skin.
To increase the level of a Prestige Skin rank, you must earn medals of an equivalent rank. Earning bronze medals increases the level of the Bronze Prestige Skin, earning silver medals increases the level of the Silver Prestige Skin, and so on.
- The Bronze Prestige Skin gains 1 level for every 3 bronze medals.
- The Silver Prestige Skin gains 1 level for every 5 silver medals.
- The Gold Prestige Skin gains 1 level for every 7 gold medals.
- The Author Prestige Skin gains 1 level for every 9 author medals.
To unlock a Prestige Skin of a certain rank and be able to use it, you must reach the maximum level of the Prestige Skin of the previous rank and level 1 of the given rank.
- To unlock the Bronze Prestige Skin, you must reach level 1 of the Bronze Prestige Skin (3 bronze medals).
- To unlock the Silver Prestige Skin, you must reach level 7 of the Bronze Prestige Skin (21 bronze medals) and level 1 of the Silver Prestige Skin (5 silver medals).
- To unlock the Gold Prestige Skin, you must reach level 9 of the Silver Prestige Skin (45 silver medals) and level 1 of the Gold Prestige Skin (7 gold medals).
- To unlock the Author Prestige Skin, you must reach level 11 of Gold Prestige Skin (77 gold medals) and level 1 of the Author Prestige Skin (9 author medals).
All official medals you have earned during the season are taken into account in unlocking and progressing Prestige Skins. For example, if you have 44 silver medals and 15 gold medals, you have unlocked the Silver Prestige Skin level 8 but not yet the Gold Prestige Skin. You must reach level 9 of the Silver Prestige Skin to do so. By winning a 45th silver medal, you will upgrade your Silver Prestige Skin to level 9 and immediately unlock the Gold Prestige Skin at level 2, since you already have 15 gold medals.
Official medals taken into account in the prestige Skins progression come from: the official campaign (Solo and multiplayer), the Weekly Tracks (Shorts and Grands), the Weekly Grand Enduro online race, and the Track Of The Day.
RANKED PRESTIGE SKINS
Ranked Prestige Skins continue to reward players based on their Matchmaking rank.
- A new Ranked skin unlocks when you reach a new rank.
- Skin levels evolve at the end of each month, based on your current rank at that time.
This keeps progression dynamic while giving competitive players clear goals to chase every month.
